With the consent and encouragement of the DNR, the residual Walleye were harvested by draining the rearing pond.  On Monday, June 4, 2012, the Walleye were measured as 46 mm long with an estimated weight of 850 fish per pound.  Between 8:30 and 10:00 30.3 pounds of fish were harvested, which calculates to 25,755 walleye.  At 11:00 these fish were planted in Upper Hamlin Lake.
