About us

Vision:  To maintain the present excellent fishery in North-Western Michigan, forever.

Mission:  To raise Walleye from hatchlings to fingerlings for planting in North-Western Michigan Lakes and Hamlin Lake in particular, in perpetuity.  To do this we will:

1.      Work with the fish rearing specialists in the DNRE who supply the walleye hatchlings and plant the fingerlings.

2.      Use volunteers to maintain and operate the fish rearing ponds in order to minimize operating expenses.

3.      Make the rearing ponds self-sustaining by funding a $100,000 Community Foundation annuity.
